Warm-up activity

Text ‘Are You Classic, Dramatic or Natural?’
- Read and translate the text;
- Write out all the items of make-up mentioned in it;
- Look at the examples of make-up mentioned in the text and describe:
- Classic [Supposed answer: classic red lips and skin tones on the eyes with blush, it is a “safe” look for all women with all skin tones and face shapes. It highlights the lips with a bold color and attracts the attention.]
- Dramatic [Supposed answer: eyes and eyebrows are accented with a bold color, a plum or mauve [məuv] eye shadow and a pink lipstick are used to accent features, while adding dramatic tone to makeup. She has her hair set up, which allows her makeup and features to be accentuated, and adds a dramatic look to the makeup.]
- Natural [Supposed answer: this makeup emphasizes the skin color. For this makeup skin colored eye shadow, a neutral blush (or bronzer) and faint pink lip-gloss are used. The eyes are accented by using natural colors and all attention is drawn toward the natural features of the face.]

Anastasia, I find your blog informative. That's good that you have mentioned goals of the class, that is really important, specially for the 1-st year students. I think, that you nee to change the quality of the copies. Your blog is good-structured. I give you 5 points!
ОтветитьУдалитьAnanstasiia, I liked your leeson very much. It's good to have such a lesson with group of girls. But I think it will be not interesting for boys to learn about make-up. I think you will have debates on your lesson between girls, because everyone likes different make-up, so this will make your lesson more interesting. You done everything good, so get "5" from me.

Аlso that's good that you have the goals before each task. I think that it doesn't enough speaking activities, questions for discussion. Your lesson is rather entertaining and will be interesting for first-year students. I give you 5)

I was surprised to read about make up in your blog.Anyway, I like it. It deserves my 5 points. Concerning the structure - well-done. Considered goals, appropriate tasks for the first-year studens. After such class they should be really interested in this topic. So, they would be strong motivated.
